It's been a long time coming but ABC-TV has announced that all prime-time programs will be captioned from 30 March 2010 (as reported in the Guide, Sydney Morning Herald 29 March 2010)
This is something I have written letters, sent email, basically made myself annoying for. I'll check it out and report back...
Good one ABC!

FluVax
Why risk upper respiratory tract infection?
I have heard that the 2010 Flu vaccine is now available and I expect it will include the swine flu component too.
Especially important for elderly and the infirm. And those susceptible to ear infections.
Fact sheet available here
More details as they come to hand.

Access Action on Wet Saturday
On Saturday 13 February a group of about fifty from all walks of life gathered to protest the lack of accessible cinema sessions in Australia.
We gathered at the cinema complex in George St 'Events', formerly Hoyts.
Our protest was joined in other cities across the country. There were similar protests in Melbourne Brisbane and Adelaide.
Here are some pics from the Sydney group [clicking the image will take you to the album to see larger versions]
